Growing up at the tail end of the Limewire days, my main source of musical inspiration was the library CD collection, which I would judiciously rip to my MP3 player. I have always been a fan of cheap, affordable shows in small rooms, seeing bands that I would read about in blogs, or referred by a friend. My primary photographic focus as it pertains to shows is these types of spaces, <150 cap rooms, which nonetheless house some of our most essential and exciting voices in the DC metro area.
